We Are Hiring

Licensed Therapist – 1099 Independent Contractor

R&R Counseling Collective | Kansas City Northland
85/15 Split for Insurance Clients | Flexible Caseload | Collaborative Group Practice

R&R Counseling Collective is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to join our growing, trauma-informed group practice in the Kansas City Northland.

This opportunity may be an especially good fit for a clinician who is already independently credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield/Blue KC and/or Aetna, has an existing or partially established caseload, and wants the support, community, referrals, and infrastructure of a group practice while maintaining a high percentage of their earnings.

Compensation

For independently credentialed insurance clients, clinicians retain 85% of collected session revenue, with a 15% practice fee to R&R Counseling Collective.

The clinician is responsible for:

  • Credit/debit card processing fees associated with their clients

  • Insurance recoupments or clawbacks attributable to their services

  • Maintaining their individual insurance credentialing

  • Maintaining appropriate licensure and professional requirements

  • Timely and accurate clinical documentation

  • We are getting roughly two-three referrals a week for BCBS and Atena and need a clinician that can accept insurance.

The 15% practice fee is designed to keep overhead low for clinicians who already bring insurance credentialing and/or an established caseload.

What R&R Provides

  • A collaborative and supportive group-practice environment

  • SimplePractice EHR access

  • Billing and administrative infrastructure

  • Insurance claim submission and reconciliation support

  • Client scheduling and intake infrastructure

  • Practice marketing and referral opportunities

  • Professional office space

  • Practice website and clinician profile presence

  • Peer consultation and connection with other clinicians

  • Flexibility and autonomy in building your caseload

  • Opportunities to receive additional referrals through the practice

  • A trauma-informed, clinician-centered culture

About the Position

This is a 1099 independent contractor position designed for clinicians who value independence while still wanting to be part of a larger clinical community.

Clinicians have substantial autonomy over their schedules, caseload size, clinical approach, and professional development.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who already have a partially established caseload and would like to bring that caseload into a supportive group-practice environment while continuing to grow through additional referrals.

Ideal Candidates

We would love to hear from clinicians who:

  • Hold an active Missouri mental health license appropriate for independent practice

  • Are currently Individually credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield/Blue KC and/or Aetna

  • Have their own individual NPI and insurance credentialing

  • Are comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor

  • Value trauma-informed and affirming care

  • Practice ethically and maintain timely clinical documentation

  • Want autonomy without practicing completely alone

  • Enjoy being part of a collaborative clinical community

  • Are interested in gradually growing their caseload through both existing clients and new referrals

Clinicians with specialties in trauma, PTSD/C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationships, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ concerns, personality disorders, attachment, adolescents, couples, or other specialty populations are encouraged to apply.

Schedule Is Flexible

We have two locations in the Northland and West-Bottoms.

Compensation

  • Clinician retains 85% of collected insurance/client revenue.

  • 15% practice fee to R&R Counseling Collective.

  • Additionally, after three months of service we will provide a $150 dollar monthly CEU/health insurance reimbursement.

  • Monthly Minimum $500

Additional compensation structures for private-pay referrals or other services can be discussed based on the clinician's practice arrangement.

We are flexible and want to find an arrangement that works for you.
